Friend of mine nominated me for this. for 10 days, I have to post a picture of my motorcycling past and explain why Its meaningfully to me.

Figured I might as well throw oppo in the loop too.

day 1:

My old Blast

This was my first bike. a 2009 Buell blast. My father bought it new as HIS first bike, and when he upgraded to the BMW, he left this to me. We bought it brand new, and between the 2 of us (mainly me) we put 5000 km on it in a season.

In that 5K km the carb fell off (twice) the rear tires needed replacing (oops) the wiring harness needed to be looked at, and I dropped it once.

I throw some dirt bike bars and a bunch of stickers on it. Shortened the front turn signals and replaced the mirrors. Sold it to a friend for 1/2 of what we bought it for and it has sat ever since.

I loved/hated mine. Great little city bike, but also cheap piece of crap and horrible at higher speeds.

Now that I am living downtown I would not mind having it, but when I lived a little further out, I pretty much got to the point where I used it to run small errands or go to lunch. Then the gearbox got stuck in 3rd so I sold it

Motorcycle tire question for you.

My Ninja still has the factory Dunlops on it, and I’m planning on replacing them. It takes roughly the same size as your Blast did (100/80-16 front, 130/80-16 rear).

It looks like my tire options are:

- Pirelli Diablo Scooter
- Michelin City Grip
- Bridgestone BT-45
- Metzler Lasertec
- Pirelli Sport Demon

Which of these tires do you have experience with or would recommend?

blast had 17s.

Id go with the michilins. I have a set of PR# rear/PR4 front on the bike right now and LOVE IT.

Pirellis are good tires if its hot and they are warmed up. if its anything remotely wet or cold they become hockey pucks.

Metzlers i found lacking in a lot of places. The OEM set we had on the BMW didnt grip alot, werent stable at speed. they did last a little bit, but ehhh.

I havent had any expireance with bridgestones, so I cant say anything for them
